Plaid Skort & Platforms

_DSC0068

I knew these boots had to be mine the second I stepped into Aldo. They have the same patent-leather look as Doc Martins which I absolutely love and to top it all off, a platform heel. It's like the shoe gods knew what I was looking for before I even knew what I was looking for. I immediately thought of this plaid skort as soon as I saw the boots and knew they would be a perfect match! I topped it off with a slouchy sweater, a couple of chains and I was on my way to work..

Flannel Dress & Thigh Highs

_DSC0177

I have been wearing booties with a small heel or a platform to work and after a quite a few long days, my feet were begging for something flat. Although I was a lot more comfortable throughout the day, I was feeling extra short! I was just getting used to being able to see over some of the racks and tables, as well as the extra four inches of height. Since most of my flats are packed up for the move on Saturday, these thigh highs were the only work appropriate option I had.. I knew there was a reason I stopped myself from boxing them up! I scored them at the end of last winter for less than half of their original price which was something around $200 if I remember correctly. Now that I know how comfortable they are and how well they go with dresses, jeans, leggings & tights I wouldn't have minded paying full price if I had to..

Gypsy Bells & White Lace

_DSC0114

Are you sick of seeing me in bells yet?
I picked up this dark denim wash along with a black pair during my last trip to Gypsy Warrior when my Mom & I did some serious damage, she even got a few things! Naturally, the black pants were a few inches too long so Paul's Mom taught me how to hem & now they fit like a dream come true. I was surprised to find out that these didn't require any alterations and fit perfectly with my smaller everyday wedge booties. I'm not a huge fan of wearing jeans because I find them to be uncomfortable if they are less than 2% spandex so I was happy to find out that these were just so and probably the most comfortable out of all of the denim in my collection

Quilted Faux Leather x Sunflowers

_DSC0146

I am sure you have all seen me wear this dress plenty of times over this past summer, but, since I did style it differently for the recent fall like weather we've been having, I felt that another post was appropriate. It is one of my absolute favorite dresses to date so be sure that a winter look will be a definite in the future.

Little Black Peasant Dress

_DSC0117

In between packing up box after box for my big move, my mom & I got to make a trip up north for some shopping at one of our favorite stores, Gypsy Warrior. Naturally we did some serious damage in the form of  necklaces, bell bottoms, tops and a kimono.. or two?  After spending about an hour looking through the store we finally made our way to the register to check out and of course, I found this bag about five minutes after signing my receipt. It was the last one left so I knew I couldn't leave it behind, plus, black.. fringe.. gold chain, it would be a sin if I did. I knew I had plenty of boho looking pieces that it would compliment perfectly so, I felt that my purchase was justified. Not only does it look perfect with a pair of printed bells, it adds a lot of detail to something as simple as this dress.

Paisley Bells & Peasant Crop

_DSC0091

It is no secret that I am obsessed with any sort of wide leg pant and these happen to be one of the many that I've picked up over the last few weeks. Unfortunately, most are several inches too long for me so I recently learned how to hem in order to make them just my size. In the past I have been notorious for dropping off items to be tailored and leaving them there for months on end, so, now I have no excuses. What I love most about this wide leg trend is that they come down past your ankles which elongates your legs and for someone my height, looking taller is a dream. As soon as I put these on I knew exactly which top I wanted to pair them with which is a bell sleeved peasant crop I picked up from Forever 21 only a week ago. Lately I've been coming across quite a few items from XXI that have been mistaken for Free People pieces and this is one of them.

Two Ways to Wear: Printed Pants

DSC_0438
These flowy floral bells have easily become a staple in my wardrobe, I just can't seem to take them off! I've worn them quite a few ways and by quite a few I mean over ten or so.. with a slouchy sweater, with a leotard, with crop tops, with heels, with blouses, etc, etc.. But, since it's been quite warm recently and will be this upcoming week into next, I figured I would show you two quick ways I styled them for the upcoming heat wave in case you're lacking a little end of summer inspiration like myself. I am more than ready for fall clothes, there's just something about layering that I can't get enough of! Since these pants are sheer they will be perfect to wear throughout the fall with comfy scarves, booties and leather jackets. I feel that pieces you can wear through at least two seasons are worth the investment and these most definitely were!
