Floral Bells

I have been living in these pants for the past month..and when I say living I mean that I've worn them more than any other article of clothing I own. I saw them all over the internet and never went through & ordered a pair for myself. While I was out in the mall I saw these & was drawn to the small floral print.. after a few minutes of thinking I decided to take them home to see if I liked them enough to keep them. I must have worn them every way possible in the past month- crop tops, halters, camis, oversized tanks, etc. They definitely make my legs look a lot longer than they really are when I wear them with a platform, which is always an added bonus for someone 5ft tall. I was really happy that I didn't have to get them hemmed to fit me without dragging on the ground so I would definitely recommend these to anyone on the shorter side.

Belated Birthday Outfit

 

 I uploaded a picture of me wearing this dress on my birthday back in the beginning of June. Since of course I was running late to my own dinner.. I didn't have time to break out an SLR and get all the details for you guys, but I had a second to snap a few quick pictures on my iPhone (sorry for the low resolution). I was planning on re-shooting this outfit, but after washing the dress and drying it for only a few seconds, it turned into more of a shirt? I'm hoping it's that kind of material that will take its natural form once you was it again, but just in case it isn't I wanted to give you all the details since I've been getting a lot of questions on where I got it from. So if you were one of those questions, I wasn't ignoring you, I was planning on doing a full post to answer them!

Cream & Gold

I'm finally feeling much better than I have been these past two weeks. After my brief stint with pink eye & a follow up fever.. I developed laryngitis and the worst migraine type ordeal I've ever lived through (barely), I even had to get a shot to get rid of it. On top of that, I started my classes this past week and I definitely didn't expect to be up to my neck in drawings and quizzes and postings, but I'm a little bit ahead for the day so I finally have some time to put a post together.

This is what I wore on father's day which was a week ago, oops!.. I did post a picture of my bun with some bedazzle on instagram but without the full details. So if you were dying to know what sort of strange contraption I put into my hair.. it was a necklace. I wasn't feeling that well so I was trying to hide my messy circle bun when I came up with the idea of bedazzling it to yet again distract the world from my mediocre hair day. I wasn't sure if my plan was going to work or not, but the necklace ended up wrapping around twice with just enough chain to hook it closed. I was not expecting this to work whatsoever, but it did and I was really happy with how it came out so now I'm on the hunt for some more gaudy bun accessories. I think there might be accessories specifically for circle buns on the market, too! This might be my last white article of clothing I have to share with you all, I've been making a conscience effort to add more white & cream pieces to my wardrobe but something always leads me back to black.

Hair Products I'm Obsessed With

Even before starting this blog I received tons of questions about how I do my hair and which products I've used. It wasn't until this past year or so that I have been able to define a steady line up of products, I guess you can say I had a really long trial run with hair care. Most of the products below I've been using for years and years unless stated otherwise and even though some are a bit newer in my regimen, I wouldn't recommend them to you if I didn't use and love them myself.

Cut Outs & Spikes

I know it's been a few days since my last post but I've been facing a series of unfortunate events. Not only did my sinus infection from two weeks ago come back.. with vengeance, I also developed pink eye AND a fever. Luck has not been on my side health wise this week, but my Mom & I did score all the Kelly O Mac lipsticks before they sold out, so I shouldn't complain too much.

Since I haven't been well enough to do my hair OR makeup since Sunday, I also haven't really gone out, which means I haven't had any "#ootd's".  I am in the process of a "Hair Products I'm Obsessed With" post which has been one of the most requested recently, but I haven't had the strength to lift a camera, or even get out of bed.. so it'll be coming up soon!

Floral Cut Out Dress

 

 Here's another one of my six outfits that will be featured in a magazine this month. I'm really excited to see everything come together and published and I'm also really excited to share it with all of you! 

I got this dress over a year ago from an online shop called Luna Vintage, since then I've seen it in tons of different prints all over the internet and in stores. It did come with a lot of tulle underneath the skirt, but I had to cut it out because it started to get hot and itchy after I wore it the first time. Luckily, it still keeps a nice full shape without it. Even though the cut outs and deep v in the front of the dress are a little dramatic, I was able to wear it to a christening and family party by putting a lace leotard underneath to hide the big openings and make it a little more "PG". Since the dress is sold out and probably has been for months now, I did link the store below and a few similar options as well!

Cut Outs & Rips

Recently I was asked to be featured in a magazine with 5-6 other bloggers to show our own take on a specific summer/fall trend. On the list of trends to choose from "cut outs & peekaboos" really seemed to get my outfit picking senses flowing. After being diagnosed with my fifth or sixth sinus infection this year and my Mom's surgery I was afraid I wouldn't get to finish everything on time but for once in my life, I'm early.. To give you guys a little preview of what's to come, I wanted to share one of my outfits that will be in the magazine in full since only a few pictures will make the final cut.
