Back in Black

_DSC0218

Its been far too long since my last blog post, so, I figured what better day to make my comeback than Halloween? Just as most, it's my favorite day of the entire year and to me, there is nothing better than dressing up! As far as this year goes, I'm not too sure what my plans are or what I'm even going to be, if anything at all. So far I've spent the day catching up on some homework and lounging! Speaking of, homework seems to be what occupies my days off from work which explains my recent and unintentional hiatus. On top of homework, I've been trying to unpack myself little by little and I'm finally down to my last few boxes! After my closets are done being built & I'm able to get myself a little more situated I will most definitely do the "room tour" I promised in a previous post.

Plaid Skort & Platforms

_DSC0068

I knew these boots had to be mine the second I stepped into Aldo. They have the same patent-leather look as Doc Martins which I absolutely love and to top it all off, a platform heel. It's like the shoe gods knew what I was looking for before I even knew what I was looking for. I immediately thought of this plaid skort as soon as I saw the boots and knew they would be a perfect match! I topped it off with a slouchy sweater, a couple of chains and I was on my way to work..

Flannel Dress & Thigh Highs

_DSC0177

I have been wearing booties with a small heel or a platform to work and after a quite a few long days, my feet were begging for something flat. Although I was a lot more comfortable throughout the day, I was feeling extra short! I was just getting used to being able to see over some of the racks and tables, as well as the extra four inches of height. Since most of my flats are packed up for the move on Saturday, these thigh highs were the only work appropriate option I had.. I knew there was a reason I stopped myself from boxing them up! I scored them at the end of last winter for less than half of their original price which was something around $200 if I remember correctly. Now that I know how comfortable they are and how well they go with dresses, jeans, leggings & tights I wouldn't have minded paying full price if I had to..

Gypsy Bells & White Lace

_DSC0114

Are you sick of seeing me in bells yet?
I picked up this dark denim wash along with a black pair during my last trip to Gypsy Warrior when my Mom & I did some serious damage, she even got a few things! Naturally, the black pants were a few inches too long so Paul's Mom taught me how to hem & now they fit like a dream come true. I was surprised to find out that these didn't require any alterations and fit perfectly with my smaller everyday wedge booties. I'm not a huge fan of wearing jeans because I find them to be uncomfortable if they are less than 2% spandex so I was happy to find out that these were just so and probably the most comfortable out of all of the denim in my collection
