Floral, Suede & Chains

There was absolutely no way I could have passed up this maxi, the second I laid eyes on it I saw at least three different ways to wear it. This was of course the first outfit that came to mind and definitely the most practical for the winter. Since it does button about half way down the bottom, I will definitely be wearing it as a dress as soon as the weather gets warmer and I've already been planning what shoes I want to wear it with from my store's new spring collection. I can definitely see it being my go-to cover up for a day at the beach, too!

Plaid & Lace-Ups

It's been quite a while, hasn't it? I took a much needed break from staring at my computer screen after finals to enjoy the rest of the holiday season. It's nice to be able to wake up on a day off and only have to worry about what's for breakfast rather than what assignment I have to work on first.  I definitely had an amazing Christmas & I hope you all did, too! It was our first in our new house and my Mom/blog photographer decorated every inch better than ever. Even my black & white tree seemed to look ten times better in my new room than it did in my old one, I'm even considering leaving it up all year.

Ripped Jeans & Colored Jewels

 

 It's been quite a few days since my last post and with good reason... finals. After receiving my last degree I never thought I would say that dreadful word again, but, here I am another semester into my next. Naturally, all of my final projects were due during one of the busiest weeks of the holiday season which requires me to work somewhere between 45 & 50 hours, so unfortunately, I had to put blogging on the back burner. While in between getting some work done for school and Christmas shopping, I was able to head to the mall to pick up a few things for myself...

Whites & Plaid

I have definitely been trying to experiment with more color recently, and by color I mean lighter neutrals. It's a start, right? I've been dying to wear this oversized blazer-esque jacket since the summer so I was more than excited to break it out during some of the warmer days we've been having. I was determined to pair it with lighter pieces so I dug into the depths of my closet for this white blouse I got quite some time ago. I knew that the small gold buttons would tie the detail in my bag and shoes all together without over doing it. I hope I'm not the only one who analyzes every detail down to button and zipper colors, am I?
