Floral, Suede & Chains

_DSC0461

There was absolutely no way I could have passed up this maxi, the second I laid eyes on it I saw at least three different ways to wear it. This was of course the first outfit that came to mind and definitely the most practical for the winter. Since it does button about half way down the bottom, I will definitely be wearing it as a dress as soon as the weather gets warmer and I've already been planning what shoes I want to wear it with from my store's new spring collection. I can definitely see it being my go-to cover up for a day at the beach, too!

Since it is so cold out, unfortunately, I had to make the maxi a bit more winter appropriate. To do so, I paired it with my favorite high-waited denim from Urban that I'm sure you've been reading about for well over a year now. Rather than toning down the color with a black shoe, I chose these cognac colored suede booties to keep the look on the softer side and topped it off with my favorite gold chain belt. Even though this dress was a bit on the pricer side for something so sheer (you would definitely have to wear a slip underneath if you were to wear it as a dress) , I definitely didn't mind making the investment knowing that I could wear it so many different ways and throughout the entire year.

How flippin' cute is this little guy!? He's a seven month old blue nose pitbull who was taking a break from shopping in my arms while his dad shopped around. He couldn't keep his eyes open and kept nuzzling inside of my arm, my heart was exploding!
